Plans and subscription management

Overview

Mediyn offers four subscription plans — Starter, Professional, Premium, and Clinic — each with a 7-day free trial and no credit card required to start. All plans include unlimited patients and sessions, telehealth, worksheets, and assessments, with usage limits varying by tier. Plan features and limits are enforced automatically in real time across the product.

Plans and What Each Includes

• Mediyn offers four plans: Starter, Professional, Premium, and Clinic.
• All plans include a 7-day free trial with no credit card required.
• All plans include unlimited patients, unlimited sessions, telehealth, worksheets, and assessments.
• Telehealth: Starter supports up to 30 sessions per month; Professional, Premium, and Clinic offer unlimited telehealth.
• Worksheets and assessments: Starter allows up to 10 of each per month; Professional allows up to 20 of each per month; Premium and Clinic offer unlimited access to both.
• AI clinical summaries: Professional, Premium, and Clinic subscribers have full access to AI-generated clinical summaries for all sessions, including historical ones. Starter subscribers can preview the beginning of each summary; upgrading to Professional unlocks the complete narrative for all past sessions immediately — no regeneration needed.
• The Clinic plan supports multiple therapists with per-seat billing and requires a minimum of 2 seats. Seat count can be updated at any time.
• Features not included in a plan — such as analytics dashboards or EHR integrations — display an inline explanation of which plan is needed to unlock them.

Plan Comparison and Pricing Page

• The pricing page lists all four plans and shows which features are included at each tier, including exact monthly limits where applicable.
• Limits appear inline next to each feature row across all plan tiers. A blank or omitted limit indicates that feature is unlimited on that plan.
• Selecting a plan on the pricing page carries your choice through signup, onboarding, and payment in a single flow — no separate steps through billing settings required.
• Once onboarding is complete, you are automatically signed in to the Mediyn app.

Signup and Onboarding

• You can browse plans and start your account at mediyn.com. Your plan selection is carried through the entire signup and onboarding flow.
• If your chosen plan requires a payment method, you are guided to checkout at the end of onboarding. If no payment is required, your trial starts immediately.
• Skipping payment keeps you on a trial of your chosen plan, which converts or expires based on that plan’s trial period.
• Solo therapists have full access to all practice management features from the start of their trial.
• Clinic accounts are guided by a seat limit during onboarding; a clear message is shown if the limit is exceeded when inviting therapists.

Tracking Your Usage

• Your plan page shows how much of each feature you have used in the current billing period — including worksheets, assessments, and telehealth sessions — alongside your plan limit and the date your counts reset. This information updates each time you load your plan details.
• On Starter and Professional plans, the Worksheets and Assessments pages display a live “X of Y used this month” indicator.
• Usage progress indicators change color as you approach your monthly limit.
• Starter plan subscribers can also review usage for all applicable features in billing settings.

Usage Limits and Upgrade Prompts

• When a monthly limit is reached, the action button for that feature is disabled and a clear message identifies which limit was reached, with a direct link to upgrade your plan. No feature silently fails or shows a generic error when a usage cap is hit.
• When you navigate to a feature not included in your plan, Mediyn shows a clear upgrade prompt explaining what is unavailable and how to unlock it.
• Active-patient limits, where applicable, are enforced automatically; you receive a prompt to upgrade before adding patients beyond your plan’s cap.
• Viewing, downloading, and accessing previously created worksheets and assessments is always available regardless of usage limits.

Managing Your Subscription

• You can upgrade, downgrade, or change your plan directly from Billing Settings without contacting support.
• Before confirming any plan change, an itemized proration preview shows exactly what you will be charged or credited.
• Clinic plan subscribers can increase or decrease their therapist seat count from the same settings page, with a cost preview before confirming.
• If your subscription has expired or your trial has ended, a clear message explains your account status and provides a direct link to view plans and subscribe.
• If a payment is past due, a banner at the top of the app shows the deadline for updating your payment method so you can avoid service interruption.
• The billing page remains accessible at all times regardless of subscription status.
